Mathieu Fauré

Research Fellow

Mathieu FAURÉ is Research Fellow working on the relationship between domain authorities and different segments of industrial activity during the period under study in the project. He completed his MA at Rikkyô University (Japan), where he worked on the founders of the village of Nakai on the Noto Peninsula in North-west Japan. He is currently a PhD candidate in the history of Japan specializing in the socio-economic history of early modern period under the supervision of Guillaume Carré (EHESS). His doctoral research uses the history of technology and social history approaches to examine the salt production in the northern Noto Peninsula from 1624 to 1850.
