Catherine Bastien-Ventura

Research Development Officer

Catherine BASTIEN-VENTURA is a Research Development Officer that supports the structuring of the project’s international cooperation and partnership strategy. Drawing on her extensive experience, she helps build research opportunities that amplify project impact. Trained as a biologist and having first worked as a cancer researcher, she later moved to the Research and Prospecting Departement of the French Environment Ministry where she worked on issues related to the impact of industrial pollution on ecosystems. She was part of the team that established Ecology and Environment Institute at CNRS, where she was in charge of a cooperation program with China on environmental issues. More recently, she was the CNRS coordinator of Frontiers of Science with Japan and Taiwan.
